Release Notes

Version Build 2.0.6884.22420.

  • Client-Server Architecture:
    • Cache Usage: Both client application and web server have been updated so that they can negotiate the use of a cache for responses. This way the repetition of numerous web requests is avoided and the responsiveness of the application is improved. The speed-up is more obvious when a slow speed connection is used. The initial start up of the application is also improved from around 13 sec. in the previous release to 8 sec. in this new release.
    • Enforced use of HTTPS: All API calls must be done now under HTTPS, using TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 protocols. If your Operating System does not support this cypher protocol, the application will not work. In order to be able to use TLS 1.1 (or higher) your Operating System must be Windows Vista or higher.
    • New .NET Framework version: The application now has Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 as a new prerequisite and it must be installed in the computer. In order to be able to install/use .NET Framework 4.5.2 in your computer, your Operating System must be Windows Vista SP2 or higher.
  • Project: Up/Down keys did not work as expected in the list of processes of a project. Whenever the number of processes went above 7, it was not possible to activate them or navigate among them using only the keyboard. This issue has been fixed.
  • Geometry:
    • Response time: The response time in the Geometry page has been improved. Sometimes the page took too much time to became responsive after a calculation, specially in cases with many tubes (>200).
    • Monotubes: The calculations for monotubes with lengths exceeding the TEMA maximum unsupported plain tube span (Lbmax) do not show any warning. This behaviour is intentional since in monotubes no baffles are ever used, not even support baffles.
  • Batch: Fixed an issue that caused errors in the Batch page when the Heat Balance page was empty. The Batch page does not have any prerequisites. It does not request any other page have data or valid calculations at all.
  • Minor bug fixes and improvements.
