  • Heat Balance:
    • Fix in linear interpolation functions: When the user performs an extrapolation, the upper or lower values are returned (instead of trying an interpolation out of known bounds). This has always been the default behaviour of the application when the input was a dictionary of values (Fluid data table), but it was incorrectly extrapolating when the functions were used with two simple and direct values (Fluid inlet/outlet properties ticked as Manual). Now the application behaves coherently in both cases.
  • Geometry:
    • Recommendation of known tubes: The nearest known tube dimensions was not being suggested for the inner tube in the Annular Space models. This issue has been fixed and now the application always suggest the nearest known valid tube dimension whenever a used tube does not appear in the list of known tubes (fixed and built-in the application).
    • Annular Space calculations approved: The warning about the Annular Space models being under development has been removed.
  • Overall Calculation:
    • Pressure drop calculations: An exhaustive revision of the pressure drop functions have been performed and some minor bugs have been detected and fixed. In particular, pressure drop with condensation (either in tubes side or in the shell side) has been corrected.
    • Vibrations calculations (new feature): Shell side flow may produce excitation forces which result in destructive tube vibrations. This release features vibration calculations according to TEMA formulas and will raise warnings (or errors) whenever the flow might induce any acoustic or mechanic vibration in the heat exchanger.
  • Minor bug fixes and improvements.
