AHED is installed but does not show in the Start menu (or does not open)

HRS-AHED is bundled in a format called MSIX app. This format offers functionalities known as App Reset and App Repair. These operations can be performed by a regular user (no admin privilegies required) in order to re-install or refresh the Windows app installation in an attempt to resolve a failure with it. See Reset or Repair MSIX apps.

Repair

You can try to repair HRS-AHED if its logo does not appear as expected in the Start menu. When you use the Windows Settings to repair HRS-AHED, it will retain the app's data (your license), as it attempts to re-load the application. Since your local license file is kept, you will not be asked to register again, nor to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) again.

Repairing HRS-AHED

  1. Open the Settings app from the Start menu.
  2. Select the Apps menu item.
  3. Select the Apps & Features menu item, from the left side navigation.
  4. Select HRS-AHED among the list of apps already installed in your computer.
  5. Select the Advanced options link.
  6. Select the Repair button.

Reset

You can also try to reset HRS-AHED. This action will permanently delete the app's data and re-install the app fresh. It will hence lose your preferences, local license file and configuration. This means that you will be asked again to enter your registration details (email address, etc) and to accept the EULA too. However, as long as the computer fingerprint is the same, you will automatically download your license and all your projects and objects will be available. The only important thing is to use your registered email address if you are asked to re-register again. Chances are that you only need to accept the EULA and your license is automatically retrieved without even entering any of your personal data.
